Established in 1964, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (also known as BITS Pilani) is a private deemed university located in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. The other three campuses of BITS are located in Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani is accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade and approved by the UGC. The deemed university is ranked 18 and 29 under the ‘University‘ and ‘Engineering‘ by the NIRF 2022 Rankings. BITS Pilani Deemed University, through 13 of its departments, offers UG, PG, PhD courses to students across the Pharmacy, Management, Engineering, and other streams. The Aditya Birla Group supports the deemed university, which is one of the first six institutions to get the title of Institute of Eminence in 2018. BITSAT (BITS Admission Test), an all-India computerised admission test, is administered by BITS. The BITSAT Exam is the only tool used to evaluate admission. Merit in Qualifying Examination:
a. Students who have obtained 90% or above in the aggregate of the Qualifying Examination are given a merit scholarship of 20% of first semester tuition fee
b. Students who have obtained 80% or above but less than 90% in the aggregate of the Qualifying Examination are given a merit scholarship of 15% of the first semester tuition fee
