APS University was established on 20th July 1968 and the university got approved by the UGC in the year February 1972. It has a membership of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and All Commonwealth Association of Universities (ACAU). The University is located on a 246.20 acres plot of land in the north of Rewa City, at a distance of about 5 kms, with its campus lying on either side of Rewa-Sirmour Road. There are 65 colleges affiliated with the university i.e. govt. colleges, private colleges.
The university offers courses in the field of Humanities, Management, Science, Law, Computers, etc. there are different blocks for different streams of courses. APS offers undergraduate, post graduate courses and doctorate courses. APS University offer undergraduate courses i.e. BBA, B.Ed., BCA, B.Sc (Hon.), B.Ed, and B.LLB.
