AURO University is a private university that was established in 2011 in Surat. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). In 2017, it was awarded as Best University in Hospitality Management by EPICURUS – Indian Hospitality Award Ceremony at HITEX. In the same year, the School of Hospital Management was also awarded as Torchbearer Institution of Indian Tourism. The University comprises of six schools, namely School of Business, School of Hospitality Management, School of Information Technology, School of Law, School of Design, School of Journalism & Mass Communication, School of Liberal Arts & Human Sciences and School of Sciences. It also comprises two centres namely, AURO Language Learning Resource Centre and AURO Fine Arts Centre. It has more than 75 permanent faculty members and teaching staff.
