Gujarat Technological University (GTU) was established in the year 2007. It is a state University affiliating with 486 colleges. It is headed by the state government and came into existence on May 16, 2007. GTU is approved by UGC, NBA & PCI for its academic performance and records. The university has about 4,00,000 students enrolled in various UG, PG, Research, and diploma courses. Admission is made on the basis of entrance & merit both based. The latest addition to Gujarat Technological University is the School of Applied Sciences & Technology. The institute offers Integrated Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PG Diploma courses in the discipline of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, and Computer Science. The University also provides online courses.
Admission to B.Tech is based on valid scores in JEE MAIN/MHT-CET/GUJCET whereas admission to MBA is based on CMAT/CAT scores. The university keeps the application process online, applicants must go through the official website of GTU to apply for any course. The guidelines of how to apply are noted down below:
- Candidates need to visit the official website of GTU.
- After opening the homepage of the website, click on the Admission Portal
- Students who have not been registered should register themselves by clicking on ''New Registration''
- On a new window, an application form will be opened & candidates must fill the application form with requisite academic & personal details.
- Students need to create a unique user ID and password & the login credentials will be registered by email and mobile phone.
- After completing, click on the "Proceed to Application" tab.
- The application fee should be paid through the Debit/Credit/Net Banking facility.

GTU Ahmedabad Placements 2025
Gujarat Technological University has an integrated training and placement cell to assist students. A few of the top recruiters who visited for the campus recruitment were Whitepanda, Synoverge Technologies, Patterns, Kaizen, Blazing Arrows, and so on. As per the latest media reports, Gujarat Technological University is going to conduct a two-day placement drive. More than 70 Pharmaceutical companies will participate in the university''s 19th job fair. About 1,500 students are expected to partake in the placements drive. According to GTU Vice-Chancellor, in the earlier placements drive, students received a salary package of INR 3 LPA to INR 7 LPA.
