The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) was founded in 1957, also known as Manipal Engineering College
It is one of India''s first tone-supporting engineering colleges.
MIT is a private council. Founded by Dr. TMA Pai, The council offers undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA in a variety of disciplines. Admission to B.Tech and M.Tech courses is done through MET.
MCA candidates are chosen on the basis of merit. Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks or have a bachelor''s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate to be eligible for MIT Manipal courses.
