Established in 1961, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (popularly known as MNNIT Allahabad or NIT Allahabad, formerly known as Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (MNREC)) is a deemed university located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. There is a provision of giving a scholarship amount of Rs.3000 per student to the Top 10% students of the total sanctioned seats on the basis of C.P.I (2, 3,and 4 Year)/ J.E.E.(Mains) rank (1st Year).
2) Aid to financially weaker students of the Institute –
Those students who are incapable of getting scholarship from anywhere and their family income is less than Rs.1 Lac are provided scholarship by the Institute itself from the Student Welfare Fund. Every year a target amount of Rs.10 Lakh is distributed among the students on the basis of CPI and number of applicants.
