RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) was founded by the Group Chairman, R.N Shetty, as the name suggests. R.N Shetty heads the Murudeshwar Group of companies. Established in the year 2001, RNS Institute of Technology is located in Bangalore and is a private institution.

RNSIT Bangalore Admission process
- Candidates will have to apply and appear for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET). GATE scores are also accepted by RNS Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
- Further, candidates who have qualified for the entrance exam have to participate in the counselling process for choice filling and seat allotment.
- Final admission will be offered to students based on merit, choice filling, document verification, and fee payment during the counseling process.
- The candidates can also attain admission into the institution by the institute management quota, if any seats remain unallocated.

Merit based Scholarships
Around 90% of SC/ST students get a scholarship every year. 80% of economically weak students of OBC get the scholarship every year through various state and national agencies.
